International photographic project of the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association curated by Emanuele Di Cesare which will portray AVPN pizza makers from all over the world.



AVPN

The True Neapolitan Pizza Association (Associazione Verace Pizza napoletana,AVPN) is a non-profit organization and was founded in June 1984 in Naples with its legal and operational headquarters. Its mission is to promote and protect in Italy and worldwide the true Neapolitan pizza (verace pizza napoletana), i.e. the typical product made in accordance with the characteristics described in the AVPN International Regulations for obtaining a collective brand mark True Neapolitan Pizza (Vera Pizza Napoletana), in force since 1984, edited and registered by AVPN.



Emanuele Di Cesare

Emanuele Di Cesare is a professional photographer born in Naples in 1985. After making numerous solo trips to Latin America between 2012 and 2022, he produced several photojournalistic reports and publications, and held meetings and workshops. He has collaborated with the Embassy of Guatemala and the Instituto Cervantes in Naples and Milan. A photography teacher at the UBIK Bookstore in Naples, in 2019 he developed the course Exploratory Photography (Fotografia Esplorativa). He also founded a series of photography books called WILD FACTS, the first of which was selected by FAIF as part of the "Crediamo ai tuoi occhi" competition in the self-publishing category. His latest publication, WILD FACTS SANTA MUERTE, was exhibited at the Italian Photography Festival from June to October 2024. Since 2015, through his photo reports, he has organized street photography exhibitions, starting from Scampia and then moving to the outskirts of Bogotá, Tegucigalpa, and Mexico City.
